Our Staff

Takara Wisdom, Room Leader

I have worked in childcare for 9 years and I am committed to making a positive impact on every child I meet.

During my career, I have developed skills that allow me to motivate and inspire children. I am enthusiastic and passionate about helping children to learn and develop, watching their personalities blossom.

I am very creative and pride myself on thinking out of the box to create fun and exciting opportunities and experiences for children to learn through their play.

As your child’s key person, I endeavour to go above and beyond to ensure that their nursery experience is a memorable one. I will encourage their individuality and independence, incorporating their interests into everything we do.

I am approachable and always happy to work in partnerships with parents/carers to ensure each child gets the best out of their pre-school experience.

In Happy Feet, your child will learn to become an independent thinker, an explorer, maybe even a pirate! As we hone in on those imaginative skills that allow them to explore their world around them in new and exciting ways. This more than becoming school ready, this is getting ready for life.

Amiee Gleave, Room Leader

I have worked in a nursery setting for 8 years and love to create a homely, cosy environment for the children to explore.

I am committed to developing my skills with ongoing training, so that I am able to provide fun and stimulating activities for all children in my care, according to their interests, age and stage of development.

During my career, I have developed skills to ensure that each child can take part in and get the most out of every activity and area of learning, with equality and inclusion being at the heart of everything I do.

I am passionate about parent/carer relationships and I am always available for a chat about your child when needed. As parents/carers you know your child best and I aim to work alongside you in order to get the best possible outcomes for your child.

In Tiny Toes, your child will hit lots of first milestones, from crawling to step-taking and even beginning to say their first words as they develop from tiny babies into confident toddlers.

Daisy Allcroft, Room Leader

In First Steps, we will be focusing on developing the skills for every child to become independent explorers. From self-feeding and using an open top cup, to engaging in imaginative role play, this age group is key to building self-confidence. Emphasis is placed on positive communication, recognising boundaries and learning those important listening and attention skills.

I left college with a Level 3 NVQ in children’s care, learning and development. Since then, I have gained experience in both early years and primary school settings, giving me a good understanding of child development from birth to 11 years old.

My goal for each of my key children is to allow them to develop in all areas of learning with a focus on their personal, social and emotional development, physical development and their communication and language skills.

I am patient, caring and kind, providing a good relationship with all children in my care. I aim to build strong partnerships with all parents/carers to ensure that the needs of the child are at the centre of everything we do.

Victoria Preston, Practitioner

In Little Striders, our aim is to provide a loving, caring and stimulating environment. By ensuring this, it gives the children the best opportunities to learn, grow and develop.

I have completed my CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education. My passion for working with children began from watching my mum work with children at home as a childminder. Since then, I have worked hard to gain experience and qualifications to follow in her footsteps. I have had experience working with children in primary schools as well as nursery settings.

My goal for all of the children within my care is to help them develop to the best of their potential in all areas.

Kayley Green, Practitioner

Amy Devlin, Apprentice

I am an enthusiastic, highly motivated person, currently doing my Apprenticeship in Children and the Young People’s Workforce. I am committed to the care and well-being of my key children and all other children in the setting. I strive to motivate children in their learning and inspire curiosity and independence, encouraging them to play, learn and grow in a positive nurturing environment.

I believe that partnerships with parents/carers is vital and working alongside them has a huge impact on their child’s development. Parents are an important tool in understanding each individual child and I enjoy building relationships with the families I work with.

Beth McCracken, Apprentice

I have always wanted to work in a positive, caring environment like we have here Little Footprints. I am focused and motivated on completing my Level 3 apprenticeship in the Children and Young People’s Workforce. I aim to be the best practitioner I can be and make a positive impact on the development of the children, building strong relationships in the process.

I aim to be creative within the different activities we provide for the children, ensuring they are accessible to all the children at all levels of development and needs. I aspire to make the provision relevant to the interests of the children and follow the setting’s In the Moment planning system.

I am always available and happy to communicate with the families of our children, working alongside parents/carers to ensure that every unique child is a priority.

In Tiny Toes we support and guide the babies through their development to hit those first important milestones at their own pace. We look forward to sharing and celebrating these precious moments with you and your little treasures.
